Alon Neches
Chief Executive Officer
Alon Neches is the Chief Executive Officer of Fortitude Re. He is an insurance industry veteran with over 20 years of experience as an operator, investor and advisor in regulated industries. Prior to joining Fortitude Re, Alon was a Managing Director and Partner in the Insurance Solutions business of global investment firm Carlyle.
Previously, Alon held various senior executive roles at AIG, including Global Treasurer and Head of Corporate Development, Chief Investment Officer of the North American Property Casualty Portfolio and Senior Managing Director in Global Capital Markets. He was also a Senior Restructuring Specialist Officer at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and focused on managing the Fed’s investment in AIG.
Alon began his career as an investment banker at Merrill Lynch & Co. He earned a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.S. from Duke University.

Jeff Burman is Fortitude Re’s General Counsel, and is responsible for all of the Company’s legal, compliance and regulatory matters. Jeff brings more than 20 years of broad legal experience in the areas of insurance and reinsurance-related transactions, regulatory matters and dispute resolution. Prior to Fortitude Re, Jeff most recently served as Chief Reinsurance Legal Officer and Deputy General Counsel at AIG. At AIG, Jeff led the legal function for various groups, including Reinsurance; Multinational; Insurance Company Governance; as well as the Canada, Bermuda and Latin America regions.
Prior to joining AIG, Jeff practiced at two leading New York law firms where he represented insurers and reinsurers, investment banks and investors in (re)insurance transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, insurance-linked securitizations and reinsurance contract drafting and dispute resolution.
Jeff is a graduate of Rutgers University School of Law, where he was an editor on the Rutgers Law Journal, following which he served an appellate court clerkship in New Jersey. He is a member of the bars of New York and New Jersey.
In his spare time, Jeff enjoys spending time with his twin daughters and supporting Tottenham Hotspur.

Chief Operating Officer
Sean Coyle is the Chief Operating Officer at Fortitude Re, and is responsible for the Operational, Information Technology, and Administration aspects of the Fortitude Re business. Sean brings approximately 20 years of operations and technology experience in the financial services industry, with deep knowledge in the insurance industry as both an operations and technology executive.
Prior to his role in Fortitude Re, Sean was the Global Head of Finance Operations and Reengineering at AIG, where he was tasked with defining and implementing the vision, strategy, and plan for the global finance target operating model with a key focus on the use of shared services. Sean was responsible for the creation and oversight of AIG’s global Finance Centers in India as well as regional Finance Centers in Eastern Europe and South America. In addition to operational responsibilities, his team delivered strategic transformation capabilities across finance, including the oversight and management of change programs, reengineering and process automation, robotics, operating model strategy and strategic project execution.
Prior to joining AIG in 2012, Sean was Senior Vice President of Global Operations & Reengineering at ACE Group (now Chubb), where he was a member of the operations leadership team with global responsibility for the strategy, vision and execution of the operations function. Prior to joining ACE Group in 2006, Sean was a Senior Manager with BearingPoint Inc. in the Financial Services practice and a Lead Application Developer and Architect with Proxicom, Inc.
Sean holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Florida State University.
In his spare time, Sean enjoys spending time with his wife and three children attending their various sporting events and activities. Sean is an avid supporter of all Philadelphia professional sports teams and enjoys playing golf, tennis, running, and acoustic guitar.

Greta Hager is the Chief Financial Officer of Fortitude Re, where she oversees the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Strategic Finance, Controllership, and Tax teams. Greta brings 19 years of experience in the financial services industry to Fortitude Re, serving previously as the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis at MassMutual.
Greta held multiple senior leadership roles at AIG, including Head of Life & Retirement Capital and Forecasting, Head of Life Capital Management and Financial Planning & Analysis, and Chief of Staff for the CFO of AIG Life & Retirement. She served as Audit Manager and Manager in National Professional Standards Group at Grant Thornton LLP.
Greta earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Houston.
She was featured by The Boston Globe as one of the Best Bosses for 2023, sited for her ability to test new ideas, challenge the status-quo, and embrace an owner’s mindset to create an environment of continuous improvement and innovation. She is passionate about building “Finance of the Future” organizations.

Jeffrey Mauro is the Chief Investment Officer at Fortitude Re, responsible for the implementation of asset allocation and asset/ liability management strategies. Jeff previously served as head of the Cross Asset Initiatives team in the Asset Management Group at AIG, where he developed and implemented processes to facilitate asset allocation decisions for AIG’s investment portfolio.
In 2013, Jeff began his tenure at AIG in the Investments Business Strategy team where he worked to execute the divestiture of certain holdings that were deemed no longer core to AIG’s overall business. Prior to that, Jeff worked in Investment Banking, helping financial institutions to execute capital raising and M&A transactions at Macquarie Capital (USA) Inc. and FBR & Co.
Jeff earned his Bachelors of Science in Finance and Accounting from Georgetown University. Jeff is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder.
In his free time, Jeff enjoys playing golf, tennis and spending time with his dog.

Denise Nichols

Denise Nichols is the Chief People Officer at Fortitude Re. She is a people and culture executive with more than 30 years of experience building and reinvigorating high performing teams with top market talent. In her current role, Denise is responsible for all aspects of Fortitude Re’s culture, brand and people strategy. Areas of responsibility include strategic talent management and development; employee experience; benefits and wellness; diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging; and corporate responsibility. Denise also oversees the company’s marketing, and corporate communications functions.
Prior to joining Fortitude Re, Denise was the Chief HR Officer for Voya Health and Wealth Solutions where she was responsible for the overall people strategy to support the business goals including talent acquisition, leadership development, inclusion and diversity.
Previously, Denise served in various roles at Marsh & McLennan Companies (MMC) including Head of HR for Marsh U.S., Head of Global Talent Acquisition and Chief Administrative Officer for Marsh Global Specialties. Throughout her career, Denise has passionately focused on creating company cultures that attract, develop, include, and retain talent. Additionally, as an Executive Coach, Denise has partnered with over 70 executives across 20+ countries to maximize their leadership performance personally and professionally.
Denise holds a BA in Psychology from Hofstra University and is certified in the Hogan Assessment Systems and the Insights Discovery Psychometric Assessment.

Kai Talarek is Chief Growth & Optimization Officer. Previously, he served as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Fortitude Re, Kai spent more than 20 years in the financial services sector in the United States. He most recently was a partner in the insurance practice of management consultant Oliver Wyman in New York where he spent 14 years focusing on complex risk, finance and strategy issues for insurers. Before joining Oliver Wyman, Kai was a Vice President in the Treasury department of American Express, Vice President of Strategy at Zurich Re, and an engagement manager at Mitchell Madison Group in New York and San Francisco, CA.
Kai holds an MS in Mechanical Engineering from RWTH Aachen, Germany, and an MBA from UC Berkeley in California.
Kai is an avid pilot, and in his spare time he enjoys taking flight with and without engines on airplanes and gliders – as do both his daughter and son.

Chief Actuary
James West is the Chief Actuary at Fortitude Re where he is responsible for pricing, managing and reserving Fortitude Re’s life insurance businesses. James has 20 years of experience in US Life Insurance with a wide range of Life, Annuity and A&H products.
Prior to joining Fortitude Re, James held various positions at AIG, including Chief Finance Actuary Life and Chief Finance Actuary Legacy. As AIG Chief Finance Actuary Legacy, he was heavily involved in the establishment of Fortitude Re. James also held various actuarial positions at Conseco and earned a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science and Statistics from Purdue University. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
Outside of work James enjoys traveling to new locations and spending time with his wife and children. He also likes to participate in recreational activities including golf, watersports, bowling and hiking.

Ming Zhang

Ming Zhang is the Chief Risk Officer of Fortitude Re, responsible for its global risk oversight and strategies. Ming is a seasoned financial services executive with extensive experience across investments, insurance, product, risk, capital and financial management. Prior to joining Fortitude Re, Ming was the Chief Investment Officer of SiriusPoint, where he was a member of its executive leadership team and oversaw the global (re)insurer’s investment strategy and day-to-day investment management. Before SiriusPoint, Ming was the Chief Investment Officer of Third Point Reinsurance. Prior to that, Ming served as Senior Vice President, Head of Insurance and Product Risk Management at MetLife, responsible for MetLife’s global insurance risk management, product risk and pricing oversight, and product and case approvals.
Prior to joining MetLife, Ming worked at American International Group where he served as Senior Managing Director, Chief Market Risk Officer, responsible for AIG’s global market risk management, strategy and oversight, and heading AIG’s Group Internal Capital program and Portfolio Analytics for AIG Investments. Prior to AIG, Ming was an engagement manager at Oliver Wyman, covering financial services clients.
Ming holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Chicago, and a Bachelor’s degree from Peking University.

Brian T. Schreiber

Board Member
Brian T. Schreiber serves as Director and Chairman of FGH Parent, FLIAC, FRC and FCIC. In addition to his role as a Director of FGH Parent, FLIAC, FRC and FCIC, Mr. Schreiber is a Managing Director and Head of Carlyle Insurance Solutions, a business unit at Carlyle. Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Schreiber spent 20 years at AIG in a variety of senior executive roles,
including: Chief Strategy O icer, Deputy Chief Investment O icer, and Global Treasurer, and was a member of AIG’s Operating Committee, Group Risk Committee and Investment Committee. He served as a board member of United Guaranty, AIG’s mortgage insurance subsidiary, and Varagon Capital, AIG’s middle market direct lending joint venture. Mr. Schreiber was a key member of AIG’s executive leadership team that engineered and executed AIG’s successful restructuring and recapitalization. He led AIG’s divestiture, hedging and capital markets activities coming out of the financial crisis, executing over 120 transactions in debt, equity and M&A and raising over $200 billion. Prior to the 2008 financial crisis, Mr. Schreiber was responsible for leading approximately $60 billion of acquisitions and strategic investments for AIG, including SunAmerica, American General and Edison Insurance Japan. Prior to AIG, Mr. Schreiber invested in financial services companies for the Bass Brothers, was an investment banker in Lehman Brothers’ Financial Institutions Group, and started his career as a research associate for Booz Allen Hamilton. Mr. Schreiber holds a B.S. from New York University’s Stern School of Business and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School, and he is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. We believe Mr. Schreiber is a valuable member of our board because of his experience as an executive at other companies in the insurance industry and his general knowledge of the financial services industry.

Ciara A. Burnham serves as a Director of FGH Parent, FLIAC, FRC and FCIC. In addition to her role as a Director of FGH Parent, FLIAC, FRC and FCIC, Ms. Burnham is a financial services executive, board director and investor with three decades of experience across the industry. Ms. Burnham serves on the boards of several financial services and fintech companies, and also works with non profit organizations focused on ESG, social impact and education. Ms. Burnham spent two decades as a Senior Managing Director with Evercore, the global investment bank, where she worked across both the investment banking and investment management businesses. Ms. Burnham joined Evercore shortly after its inception and played a significant leadership role in the build-out of the firm’s presence on a global basis. She has worked with early stage fintech companies as a senior advisor and partner with QED, a leading venture capital firm.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Burnham was an equity research analyst with Sanford Bernstein and a consultant with McKinsey. Ms. Burnham received an A.B. cum laude from Princeton University and an M.B.A. with honors from Columbia Business School. She serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees for EDC, a leading non-profit working globally in education, healthcare and economic opportunity. Ms. Burnham is a member of the Advisory Boards of the Tamer Center for Social Enterprise and the Program for Financial Studies at Columbia Business School. We believe Ms. Burnham is a valuable member of our board because of her experience in the financial services industry and her work with non-profit organizations focused on ESG, social impact and education.

Board Member
Sihong Chan serves as a Director of FGH Parent. In addition to his role as a Director, he has worked at GIC since 2006. He is a Senior Vice President and the Deputy Head of the Special Opportunities Group. During his tenure at GIC’s private equity department, Mr. Chan has overseen numerous private equity and private credit fund investments, co-investments and direct investments. He has experience in a variety of sectors, including financial services, consumer & retail, media and natural resources. Among other roles at GIC, Mr. Chan has served as the Global Coordinator for Restructured & Opportunistic Credit, and the co- sector head of Emerging Markets Non-Asia Private Equity Funds & Co- investments.
Mr. Chan has represented, and still represents, GIC as an advisory board member on several private equity fund committees. He has also been an observer on several private company boards, including those of Del Monte Foods and Igloo Coolers. Mr. Chan attended Stanford University on a GIC scholarship, and graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a M.A. in International Policy Studies and a B.A. in Economics, with distinction. We believe Mr. Chan is a valuable member of our board because of his experience as an executive at other companies and his knowledge of the financial services industry.

Douglas A. French serves as a Director FGH Parent, FLIAC and FRC. In addition to his role as a Director of FGH Parent, FLIAC and FRC, Mr. French is the recent Managing Principal of the Insurance and Actuarial Advisory Services practice of Ernst & Young LLP’s Financial Services Organization. Mr. French has spent more than 35 years in actuarial consulting. Before joining Ernst & Young LLP in 1999, he was a principal and global practice director of a major actuarial consulting f irm. As a senior consultant, Mr. French has drawn on his global experiences to assist life, health and property/casualty clients in mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, enterprise risk and capital management, financial reporting and management, financial projections and modeling and distribution economics and e ectiveness. Throughout his career, he has not only maintained his technical actuarial skills, but has also strived to understand the broader strategic implications and drivers for the insurance industry and its participants. He started his career in Daido Life’s Investment Planning Department and focused primarily on the investment and asset management activities of the group. Patrick Kelleher serves as a director of FGH Parent. Mr. Kelleher has spent 40 years in a wide range of technical and leadership positions in the life insurance industry in Canada, the United States and Bermuda. Most recently, he was the founding CEO of Somerset Reinsurance from 2014 until retiring at the end of 2020. Prior to Somerset, Mr. Kelleher held senior executive positions at Transamerica / AEGON and at Genworth Financial in the United States from 1998 to 2013, serving as the CFO for Transamerica Reinsurance, group CFO for Genworth Financial and later as Executive Vice-President and CEO of Genworth’s life insurance businesses. Prior thereto, Mr. Kelleher had been with Manulife Financial and based in Toronto, Canada from 1992 – 1998 where he was initially responsible for product management and pricing activities within company’s U.S. life insurance business, and subsequently held leadership roles within the company’s global reinsurance division serving as CFO and then serving as business leader for its life and financial reinsurance businesses. From 1980 – 1992, he was with Sun Life Financial in Toronto. Mr. Kelleher has a Bachelor’s degree from Franklin & Marshall College.

He served as Chairman of XL’s Board of Directors from 2008 to 2009 and was President and Chief Executive Officer of XL from 1994 to 2008. In 1986, Mr. O’Hara joined XL Insurance (Bermuda) Ltd as its founding President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. O’Hara began his insurance career in San Francisco with The Royal Insurance Company and Employers’ Reinsurance Company in 1970. He joined General Reinsurance Corporation in 1975 and in 1978 assumed responsibility for the newly developing captive reinsurance underwriting group. From 1979 to 1986 Mr. O’Hara was a founder and Chief Underwriting Officer of reinsurer Trenwick Group, Inc. in Bermuda. Mr. O’Hara has a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Santa Clara University and a CPCU designation. He also has an Honorary Doctorate in Commercial Science from St. John’s University. Richard Patching serves as a Director of FGH Parent, FLIAC, FRC and FCIC. In addition to his role as a Director of FGH Parent, FLIAC, FRC and FCIC, Mr. Patching is a Chartered Accountant and member of both the Bermuda and England & Wales Institutes. For almost 25 years Mr. Patching was a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) providing audit and advisory services to Bermuda’s insurance and reinsurance industry, including several of its largest companies. In addition to conducting audits of statutory and regulatory filings, Mr. Patching led a wide range of assignments focused on, among other things, analyzing enterprise risk and providing internal audit services to a number of insurance entities. Mr. Patching was also appointed Territory Assurance Leader and subsequently acted as Managing Partner of the firm. For several years, he represented the Bermuda f irm as a member of PwC’s Global Insurance Leadership Team. Mr. Patching retired from PwC Bermuda in June 2014. He resides in Bermuda. Jonathan Novak serves as President of Institutional Markets, the institutional life business of Corebridge Financial (CRBG). He also serves as the Head of Firmwide Strategy, Corporate Development, and Reinsurance. As President of Institutional Markets, he is responsible for overseeing the global pension risk transfer business, structured settlements, private placement annuity and life products, company-owned life insurance, bank-owned life insurance, guaranteed investment contracts, and stable value wraps. As Head of Corebridge Strategy, he is responsible for coordinating all Mergers and Acquisitions, and Assumed and Ceded Reinsurance involving the Corbridge businesses. Prior to joining Corebridge/AIG, Mr. Novak was a Managing Director in the Financial Institutions Risk Management business of Goldman Sachs. Before his 12-year tenure at Goldman Sachs, he served four years at Berkshire Hathaway as an Associate in their Reinsurance Underwriting division. Mr. Novak earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of California, Los Angeles and a bachelor’s degree in marketing and international business from the University of Notre Dame. Jane Tutoki serves as a Director of FGH Parent and FCIC. In addition to her role as a Director, Jane Tutoki also serves on the Board of Directors for Sedgwick. Prior to that, Jane spent 4 years as the Global CEO of Cunningham Lindsey, a provider of independent loss adjusting and claims management services in more than 60 countries. Before joining Cunningham Lindsey, Jane served as Global Head of Claims Operations for AIG Property and Casualty and worked as both Head of Americas Region and Executive Director of Global Insurance for Xchanging PLC. Jane held several senior positions at Zurich Financial Services, including Global Chief Claims Officer and Chief Claims Officer, North America Commercial Division. She began her career as a litigation attorney, working for numerous insurance companies, and later serving as in-house counsel at Hartford Financial Services. Jane holds a Juris Doctor degree and is a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter. She was a Director for 6 years on the Board of Electricidad de Caracas, the electric company serving most of Venezuela. She is active in the insurance industry and is a past Chancellor of the CLM College of Insurance. Mark Jenkins is a Managing Director and Head of Global Credit at Carlyle. He is also a member of Carlyle's Leadership Committee. Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Jenkins was a Senior Managing Director at CPPIB and responsible for leading CPPIB’s Global Private Investment group. He was Chair of the Credit Investment Committee, Chair of the Private Investments Committee and also managed the portfolio value creation group. While at CPPIB, Mr. Jenkins founded CPPIB Credit Investments, which is a multi-strategy platform making direct principal credit investments. He also led CPPIB’s acquisition and oversight of Antares Capital and the subsequent expansion in middle market lending. Prior to CPPIB, he was Managing Director, Co-Head of Leveraged Finance Origination and Execution for Barclays Capital in New York. Before Barclays, Mr. Jenkins worked for 11 years at Goldman Sachs & Co. in senior positions within the Fixed Income and Financing groups in New York. Samuel J. Weinhoff serves as a Director of FGH Parent, FLIAC, FRC and FCIC. In addition to his role as a Director of FGH Parent, FLIAC, FRC and FCIC, Mr. Weinhoff has been an independent consultant to the insurance industry since 2000. Mr. Weinhoff began his insurance career at the Home Insurance Company in 1976 as a corporate planning analyst. He rose to the head of the corporate planning, reporting and analysis department and later became an excess casualty treaty reinsurance underwriter. Mr. Weinhoff joined the investment department of the Reliance Insurance Company in 1980. While there, he had responsibility for investing in financial institution equities. Mr. Weinhoff joined Lehman Brothers in 1985, first as an equity research analyst covering the insurance industry and later as an Investment Banker focused on insurance. In 1997, he joined Schroders & Co. as head of their U.S. financial institutions effort. Mr. Weinhoff has served on the board of directors of Infinity Property Casualty, one of the largest U.S. Hispanic auto insurers. He became head of their Audit Committee in 2008 and Lead Director in 2015. Mr. Weinhoff joined the board of directors of Allied World in 2006, where he has served as Chair of the Compensation Committee and a member of the Risk, Audit, Investment and Executive Committee. Mr. Weinhoff holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Illinois and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School. And industry executive with 30 years of insurance and financial services experience, Dan Guilbert currently serves as a Director for Fortitude Re, a Bermuda-based reinsurance company. He was previously President of Individual Life and Retirement at Symetra Financial (a wholly owned subsidiary of Sumitomo) where he was responsible for all aspects (strategy, product, sales, service, etc.) of a business generating $140M in annual earnings and supported by 600+ employees. During Mr. Guilbert’s tenure, these businesses achieved substantial growth via both product and distribution expansion, culminating in Sumitomo’s acquisition of Symetra in 2016. Previously, Mr. Guilbert held roles across product development, actuarial and risk functions at Hartford Life, including being appointed Chief Actuary and Risk Officer. These roles encompassed responsibilities across a range of business lines (annuity, life insurance, group plans, and mutual funds) and functions. A notable example was co-leading the team to create one of the insurance industry’s first derivatives-based variable annuity hedging programs (Mr. Guilbert is listed on the patent for this program). Mr. Guilbert also worked in international markets with businesses in Japan and the UK. Mr. Guilbert graduated from Bryant College with a degree in actuarial science and became a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) in 2002.

In addition to his role as a Director of FGH Parent, FLIAC, FRC and FCIC, Mr. Schreiber is a Managing Director and Head of Carlyle Insurance Solutions, a business unit at Carlyle. Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Schreiber spent 20 years at AIG in a variety of senior executive roles,
including: Chief Strategy O icer, Deputy Chief Investment O icer, and Global Treasurer, and was a member of AIG’s Operating Committee, Group Risk Committee and Investment Committee. He served as a board member of United Guaranty, AIG’s mortgage insurance subsidiary, and Varagon Capital, AIG’s middle market direct lending joint venture. Mr. Schreiber was a key member of AIG’s executive leadership team that engineered and executed AIG’s successful restructuring and recapitalization. He led AIG’s divestiture, hedging and capital markets activities coming out of the financial crisis, executing over 120 transactions in debt, equity and M&A and raising over $200 billion. Prior to the 2008 financial crisis, Mr. Schreiber was responsible for leading approximately $60 billion of acquisitions and strategic investments for AIG, including SunAmerica, American General and Edison Insurance Japan. Prior to AIG, Mr. Schreiber invested in financial services companies for the Bass Brothers, was an investment banker in Lehman Brothers’ Financial Institutions Group, and started his career as a research associate for Booz Allen Hamilton. Alon Neches is the Chief Executive Officer of Fortitude Re. He is an insurance industry veteran with over 20 years of experience as an operator,
investor and advisor in regulated industries. Prior to joining Fortitude Re, Alon was a Managing Director and Partner in the Insurance Solutions
business of global investment firm Carlyle. Previously, Alon held various senior executive roles at AIG, including Global Treasurer and Head of Corporate Development, Chief Investment Officer of the North American Property Casualty Portfolio and Senior Managing Director in Global Capital Markets. He was also a Senior Restructuring Specialist Officer at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and focused on managing the Fed’s investment in AIG. In addition to her role as a Director of FGH Parent, FLIAC, FRC and FCIC, Ms. Burnham is a financial services executive, board director and investor with three decades of experience across the industry. Ms. Burnham serves on the boards of several financial services and fintech companies, and also works with non profit organizations focused on ESG, social impact and education. Ms. Burnham spent two decades as a Senior Managing Director with Evercore, the global investment bank, where she worked across both the investment banking and investment management businesses. Ms. Burnham joined Evercore shortly after its inception and played a significant leadership role in the build-out of the firm’s presence on a global basis. She has worked with early stage fintech companies as a senior advisor and partner with QED, a leading venture capital firm.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Burnham was an equity research analyst with Sanford Bernstein and a consultant with McKinsey. Ms. Burnham received an A.B. cum laude from Princeton University and an M.B.A. with honors from Columbia Business School. She serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees for EDC, a leading non-profit working globally in education, healthcare and economic opportunity. Sihong Chan serves as a Director of FGH Parent. In addition to his role as a Director, he has worked at GIC since 2006. He is a Senior Vice President and the Deputy Head of the Special Opportunities Group. During his tenure at GIC’s private equity department, Mr. Chan has overseen numerous private equity and private credit fund investments, co-investments and direct investments. He has experience in a variety of sectors, including financial services, consumer & retail, media and natural resources. Among other roles at GIC, Mr. Chan has served as the Global Coordinator for Restructured & Opportunistic Credit, and the co- sector head of Emerging Markets Non-Asia Private Equity Funds & Co- investments.
Mr. Chan has represented, and still represents, GIC as an advisory board member on several private equity fund committees. He has also been an observer on several private company boards, including those of Del Monte Foods and Igloo Coolers. She was a Director for 6 years on the Board of Electricidad de Caracas, the electric company serving most of Venezuela. She is active in the insurance industry and is a past Chancellor of the CLM College of Insurance. We believe Ms. Tutoki is a valuable member of our board because of her experience as an executive at other companies in the insurance industry and her knowledge of the financial services industry.

Mark Jenkins is a Managing Director and Head of Global Credit at Carlyle. He is also a member of Carlyle's Leadership Committee. Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Jenkins was a Senior Managing Director at CPPIB and responsible for leading CPPIB’s Global Private Investment group. He was Chair of the Credit Investment Committee, Chair of the Private Investments Committee and also managed the portfolio value creation group. While at CPPIB, Mr. Jenkins founded CPPIB Credit Investments, which is a multi-strategy platform making direct principal credit investments. He also led CPPIB’s acquisition and oversight of Antares Capital and the subsequent expansion in middle market lending. Prior to CPPIB, he was Managing Director, Co-Head of Leveraged Finance Origination and Execution for Barclays Capital in New York. Before Barclays, Mr. Jenkins worked for 11 years at Goldman Sachs & Co. in senior positions within the Fixed Income and Financing groups in New York. Mr. Jenkins earned a B.Comm degree from Queen’s University. He served on the boards of Wilton Re, Teine Energy, Antares Capital and Merchant Capital Solutions.

Samuel J. Weinhoff serves as a Director of FGH Parent, FLIAC, FRC and FCIC. In addition to his role as a Director of FGH Parent, FLIAC, FRC and FCIC, Mr. Weinhoff has been an independent consultant to the insurance industry since 2000. Mr. Weinhoff began his insurance career at the Home Insurance Company in 1976 as a corporate planning analyst. He rose to the head of the corporate planning, reporting and analysis department and later became an excess casualty treaty reinsurance underwriter. Mr. Weinhoff joined the investment department of the Reliance Insurance Company in 1980. While there, he had responsibility for investing in financial institution equities. Mr. Weinhoff joined Lehman Brothers in 1985, first as an equity research analyst covering the insurance industry and later as an Investment Banker focused on insurance. In 1997, he joined Schroders & Co. as head of their U.S. financial institutions effort. Mr. Weinhoff has served on the board of directors of Infinity Property Casualty, one of the largest U.S. Hispanic auto insurers. He became head of their Audit Committee in 2008 and Lead Director in 2015. Mr. Weinhoff joined the board of directors of Allied World in 2006, where he has served as Chair of the Compensation Committee and a member of the Risk, Audit, Investment and Executive Committee. Mr. Weinhoff holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Illinois and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School. We believe Mr. Weinhoff is a valuable member of our board because of his prior board experience and general knowledge of the insurance and reinsurance industry.

And industry executive with 30 years of insurance and financial services experience, Dan Guilbert currently serves as a Director for Fortitude Re, a Bermuda-based reinsurance company. He was previously President of Individual Life and Retirement at Symetra Financial (a wholly owned subsidiary of Sumitomo) where he was responsible for all aspects (strategy, product, sales, service, etc.) of a business generating $140M in annual earnings and supported by 600+ employees. During Mr. Guilbert’s tenure, these businesses achieved substantial growth via both product and distribution expansion, culminating in Sumitomo’s acquisition of Symetra in 2016. Previously, Mr. Guilbert held roles across product development, actuarial and risk functions at Hartford Life, including being appointed Chief Actuary and Risk Officer. These roles encompassed responsibilities across a range of business lines (annuity, life insurance, group plans, and mutual funds) and functions. A notable example was co-leading the team to create one of the insurance industry’s first derivatives-based variable annuity hedging programs (Mr. Guilbert is listed on the patent for this program). Mr. Guilbert also worked in international markets with businesses in Japan and the UK. Mr. Guilbert graduated from Bryant College with a degree in actuarial science and became a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) in 2002.
